The the 2008 Vancouver LGTB Pride Parade. It was a major success, beautiful weather, great crowds, around 500,000 people! The Vancouver Pride Parade has grown every year and is still growing. A million spectators is just around the corner. This year people were lined up all along the newly extended route. The new route had the parade starting up Robson street at the corner of Therlow & Robson.
I had an interesting prospective because I got to be in the parade in one of the lead floats. I was with the LGTB Community Centre where I have volunteered for about 8 years now. This gave me the chance to take crowd shots and be out and on the side lines to catch the rest of the parade go by. Unfortunately my camera developed issues about half way through and I had to go....
