2008 HSBC Celebration of Light, China: Power of the Dream. Once again I was invited to the top suit at the Coast Plaza Hotel to take photos of the fireworks. It was staff night and a lot of the hotel staff, that were off at the time, were in the room to take in the display. There were so many people that all the good viewing spots were taken and there was no way I was going to get a good shot. My parter Gerard remembered some spots we could get clear shots of from the beach. So we quickly left and hotel and ran down to the beach. Amazing we did find some places where the crowds weren't so congested. We set up and saw China put on an amazing display. The competition this year was very tight! I have no idea who is going to be proclaimed the winner on Saturday August 2nd 2008.
