It's only the first night of the 2008 HSBC Celebration of Light but I'm already ready to declare Canada the winner. USA & China must be worried! (As you can tell I'm Canadian........) Canada's fireworks display was amazing! Original! Dramatic! Fantastic! Archangel Fireworks Inc, Kelly Guille & Sean Proter are artist on the grandest of scales. For these gorgeous fireworks I had the best of best of vantage points: Coast Plaza Hotel & Suites, 1763 Comox St. Thank You Coast Plaza! You were gracious hosts and provided me with the best possible view of the fireworks. I was eye level with the highest of the fireworks and had a view worth a million dollars. I can safely tell all tourists looking for a hotel in Vancouver that the Coast Plaza has sweeping panoramic views of not only English Bay, but also Stanley Park, the Mountains, & the West End Vancouver. Everyone was friendly and I had the best fireworks I have even attended. The management invited me back to photograph the Wednesday July 30th fireworks, China. I can hardly wait!
