Birds of Prey: In Flight
Posted by admin | Filed under Stanley Park

A couple of weeks ago my partner and I were out for a walk in Stanley Park. This is nothing new….. We go for a daily walk in the park every evening and several walks on the weekends. I like to rollerblade the sea wall most mornings. So we always enjoy the park. This time we decided to pop in the Vancouver Public Aquarium. Glad we did! The aquarium was staging a public display, Birds of Prey: In Flight. This was staged out side in the open air. They had several large birds of prey with bird handlers. These birds could fly all around the gathered crowd and went from perch to perch stationed among the people. It was amazing to be so close to such beautiful birds like the Bald Eagle. We have bald eagles in the park all the time. But they are so high up and so weary of people that you never get close. In this show people were close enough to take great photos with most any camera.
