2009 Canada Day Fireworks in Vancouver

The 2009 Canada Fireworks in Vancouver BC were a beautiful visual display for many thousands of people. Families gathered from all around Canada Place and through to the Vancouver Convention Centre and all along Stanley Park to just beyond the 9 0′clock gun. Thats where we were, looking back at the fireworks and Canada Place.
There were events all day for people to enjoy. The fireworks were just the cap on the night. For Canada Day there were free concerts, not just in Vancouver but all over Canada. In Cloverdale Bif Naked and 54-40 performed.
These fireworks were extra fun for me as I got to work with my partner Gerard to take the photos. This was the first time that we worked as a team on the same photo project. I framed the photos and with the camera controlled by our macbook, MomoG triggered the camera. It was lots of fun.
Working together on this was also a bit of a trial for the upcoming 2009 Celebration of Light Fireworks in Vancouver. This year the major sponsor is The Keg Steak House.
The English Bay fireworks must be a perfect advertising opportunity for them. The Keg is currently remodeling the old Rogers mansion formerly the Macaroni Grill as the new Keg Steak House Mansion. Just up the road from the fireworks they are helping to stage.
